Best Shopify Page Builder for Conversions in 2026

PageFly, GemPages, Shogun, Replo and Zipify Pages compared on what they cost, what their AI actually does, and the one test that tells you which builder will pay for itself.

A dark navy workspace with five glowing page layout wireframes side by side, one product page lit in orange as the winner.

No page builder has ever closed a sale.

I've rebuilt more than 100 product pages for 6 to 8 figure brands, and I've watched founders switch builders three times in a year hoping the next one would fix their numbers. It never did. So here's the straight answer to the search that brought you here.

The best Shopify page builder for conversions in 2026 is the one that gets your top product's page rebuilt and tested this week, at a weight your mobile visitors will wait for. For most stores doing $10,000 a month or more, that means PageFly or GemPages for do-it-yourself teams, Shogun for content-heavy stores, Replo for teams that test constantly, and Zipify Pages for funnel-style offers. The builder sets the ceiling. The words on the page decide where you land under it.

Let me show you how to pick one without wasting a quarter.

What is the best Shopify page builder for conversions right now?

Here are the five Shopify builder apps 2026 founders ask me about most, compared on what you can verify today. Ratings and prices come from each app's own Shopify App Store listing or pricing page, checked on October 21, 2026. They change often, so click through before you buy.

Builder App Store rating Paid plans start at A/B testing AI on board Best fit
PageFly 4.9 (5,911 reviews) $24/month Yes, on the $99 Accelerate plan AI page and section generation, AI Page Checkup Do-it-yourself teams who want templates and heatmaps
GemPages 4.9 (4,255 reviews) $29/month Yes, with offer variant analytics GemPages MCP turns AI-generated code into editable pages Funnels with post-purchase upsells
Shogun 4.8 (1,975 reviews) $39/month Through the separate Shogun AB Testing app AI generation Content-heavy and multi-store brands
Replo 4.6 (185 reviews) $119/month Yes, session limits by plan AI page generation Teams running constant page tests
Zipify Pages 650+ five-star reviews (per Zipify) $19/month Yes, 1 split test campaign on Starter AI copywriter Funnel and offer pages

Notice what's missing from that table. A conversion rate column.

That's on purpose. None of these companies publish a conversion rate you can verify, and any "this builder converts at 4%" claim you read online belongs to one store's offer and traffic, not the tool. I won't invent one, and you shouldn't trust anyone who does.

The builder is the canvas. The page is the closer. You can buy a better canvas in 5 minutes, but only a better message changes what a visitor is worth.

If you want the head-to-head detail, I've already broken down GemPages against Replo for DTC brands and Zipify against GemPages on conversion.

Why does no page builder come with a conversion rate?

Because the conversion rate lives in the copy, the offer and the proof. The builder only holds them.

Baymard Institute's product page research found that only 49% of e-commerce sites have decent or good product page UX, and 51% are mediocre or worse. Those are multi-million-dollar sites with every builder and agency money can buy. The tools were never the bottleneck.

Here's the math on a store like this, a hypothetical. A skincare brand selling a $68 vitamin C serum. Conversion rate 1.2%, average order value $68. That means revenue per visitor is $0.82. On 10,000 visitors, that's $8,160 a month.

Now the same brand rebuilds the page so it answers the buyer's real question: will this fade my dark spots, or is it another $68 bottle in the drawer? Conversion rate climbs to 2.1%, and a two-bottle bundle lifts average order value to $79. Revenue per visitor is now $1.66. On the same 10,000 visitors, that's $16,590.

That's an $8,430 monthly gap. The GemPages Build plan is $29 a month. Notice which number matters.

Which is the fastest Shopify page builder?

Honest answer: I haven't found an independent, repeatable benchmark I'd stake your store on, and the vendor-run speed tests all happen to crown the vendor. So I'm not going to name a fastest Shopify page builder.

Here's what I do know. Every builder adds code on top of your theme. What you stack on the page (autoplay video, five review widgets, a countdown timer, a sticky bar) usually weighs more than the builder itself. I covered that in detail in whether Shopify page builders slow down your store, and the mobile numbers in PageFly vs Shogun.

And speed is money. Deloitte's Milliseconds Make Millions study found that a 0.1 second improvement in mobile site speed lifted retail conversions by 8.4% and average order value by 9.2%.

So test it yourself. Run your live product page through Google PageSpeed on mobile. Build the new version. Run it again. If the new page is heavier, cut sections until it isn't. That's a 20-minute job, and it beats any ranking post, including this one.

How is AI changing Shopify page builders in 2026?

Fast. Every builder in that table now ships some form of AI, and I checked each one's listing today.

PageFly has an AI builder that generates pages and sections, plus an AI Page Checkup that audits a page and suggests fixes. GemPages has an MCP that lets an AI model research content and generate code, then turns the approved code into an editable page. Replo calls itself an AI builder and runs on monthly credits. Zipify Pages includes an AI copywriter on its plans. Shogun lists AI generation.

But here's the thing. Almost all of that AI is pointed at the layout. It fills a template in seconds. It doesn't sit with your reviews, find the objection killing the sale, and write the page around it.

That's the gap. A fast empty canvas is still empty. I went deeper on what to demand from the AI side in what to look for in an AI product page builder for Shopify, and how the same problem shows up with paid traffic in AI landing page builders for Facebook ads.

AI that picks a layout saves you an afternoon. AI that writes the answer to the buyer's question changes what every visitor is worth.

How do you pick a builder by revenue per visitor instead of features?

Shopify page builders compared on features all look the same after a while. 300 templates. 400 templates. 1,000 templates. Wrong scoreboard.

Use this four-step test instead:

  1. Pick your one best-selling product. Write down its conversion rate and average order value from the last 30 days.
  2. Rebuild only that page in the builder's free plan or trial (PageFly, GemPages, Replo and Shogun all have free tiers, and Zipify has a 14-day trial).
  3. Split test the new page against the old one, or run it for 14 days with traffic held steady.
  4. Keep the builder only if revenue per visitor went up by more than the monthly fee divided by your visitors.

That last line sounds fussy. It isn't. On 10,000 visitors, a $99 plan needs to add about one cent per visitor to break even. Any decent page beats that. And if that page gets only a few thousand visitors a month, a strict split test can take months to call. The five methods in A/B testing on low traffic get you to a decision faster.

Here's what a page rebuilt around the buyer can do. One of our bedding clients' Cooling Bamboo Sheets went from a 1.0% to a 4.3% conversion rate, and average order value went from $125 to $254. Revenue per visitor moved from $1.25 to $10.92. On 10,000 visitors, that's $12,500 before and $109,200 after. See the full case study numbers. Real client numbers, not typical results, and not a promise of what your store will do.

Same sheets. Same traffic. The page started printing instead of leaking.

Do you even need a page builder?

Maybe not. Shopify's own sections and blocks let you rearrange a page without touching code, and for one hero product that's often plenty.

A builder earns its fee when you ship new landing pages, offers or tests every month and your theme can't keep up. If that's not you, keep your money. I made the full case in do you need a Shopify page builder, and the bigger picture of how AI is rewriting product pages lives in the AI product pages guide. If you're starting a store from scratch with AI instead, I graded what those tools hand you in the best AI Shopify store builders, judged on page quality.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Shopify page builder for conversions? There's no single winner. PageFly and GemPages suit do-it-yourself teams, Shogun suits content-heavy stores, Replo suits teams testing constantly, and Zipify Pages suits funnel offers. Pick the one that gets your top page rebuilt and tested this week.

Which Shopify page builder has the highest conversion rate? None publish a verifiable one. Page builder conversion rates you see online belong to specific stores, not tools.

What is the fastest Shopify page builder? Speed depends on what you put on the page more than the builder. Test your own page on mobile before and after.

Is a Shopify page builder worth it? Only if the page earns more per visitor than the subscription costs. A $0.10 lift on 10,000 visitors is $1,000 a month.

Is the Shopify theme editor enough? For one product page done well, often yes.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Shopify page builder for conversions?

There's no single winner. PageFly and GemPages suit do-it-yourself teams, Shogun suits content-heavy stores, Replo suits teams testing constantly, and Zipify Pages suits funnel offers. The best one is the builder that gets your top product's page rebuilt and tested this week, because the words on the page move conversion rate more than the canvas does.

Which Shopify page builder has the highest conversion rate?

None of them publish a verifiable conversion rate, and any number you see belongs to a specific store, not the tool. Conversion rate comes from the page's message, offer and speed. Judge a builder by how fast it lets you test a better page on your own traffic.

What is the fastest Shopify page builder?

Speed depends on what you put on the page more than which builder you pick. Every builder adds code on top of your theme. Run your live product page through Google PageSpeed on mobile before and after, and cut sections that don't earn their weight.

Is a Shopify page builder worth it?

Only if the page it builds earns more per visitor than the subscription costs. A builder at $29 a month pays for itself many times over if it helps you lift revenue per visitor by even $0.10 on 10,000 monthly visitors, which is $1,000 a month.

Do I need a page builder or is the Shopify theme editor enough?

For many stores the theme editor's sections and blocks are enough to rebuild one product page well. A builder earns its place when you ship new landing pages or tests every month and your theme can't keep up.
